Eyeshadow (or eye shadow) is a cosmetic applied primarily to the eyelids to make the wearer's eyes stand out or look more attractive. Eyeshadow can also be applied under the eyes, cheeks or eyebrow arches.
Eyeshadow can give the eyes depth and size, complement eye color, make the eyes bigger, or simply draw attention to the eyes. Eyeshadow comes in a variety of colors and textures. It's usually made from powder, but it can also be found in the form of a liquid, pencil, cream, or mousse. Like other trends, eye shadows also have trends.
Depending on the skin tone and experience, the effect of eyeshadow usually highlights the glamour and attracts attention. The use of eyeshadow attempts to reproduce the natural eyeshadow that some women display due to the natural contrasting pigmentation on the eyelids. Natural eyeshadow can range from a glossy sheen on the eyelids to a pinkish tone or even a silvery hue.
